Bridge to New Beginnings provides independent and semi-independent shared housing for seniors (62+), veterans, and adults who can live independently but benefit from a stable, community-based living environment. We are NOT an assisted living facility, nursing home, or medical provider—we are simply homes where residents live with dignity and respect.

No. We do not provide any medical care, personal care assistance, medication management, or supervised care services. Residents must be able to manage their own daily activities independently. If you or your client needs these services, this is not the right fit.

Our homes are located in the Houston, Texas area in safe, residential neighborhoods.

No, meals are not provided. Residents are responsible for their own groceries and meal preparation. Our fully-equipped shared kitchen has all the appliances needed for cooking. Some residents choose to cook together, but this is entirely voluntary.

Yes, visitors are welcome during designated hours as outlined in our house rules. Overnight guests are not allowed and no exceptions

Our house rules are designed to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents. Key rules include: maintaining cleanliness in shared and personal spaces, respecting quiet hours, no substance use on premises, treating all residents with dignity, and following visitor guidelines. Detailed house rules are provided before move-in.

Rule violations are addressed on a case-by-case basis. Minor issues typically result in a warning and discussion. Repeated or serious violations may result in a written warning, required meeting, or in severe cases, removal from the home. Safety and respect for all residents is our priority.

Yes, safety is a priority. Our homes are located in residential neighborhoods, are well-maintained, and have standard home security features. We also vet all residents before move-in and maintain house rules that promote a safe environment.

No, we do not provide overnight supervision or 24/7 staff. This is independent living, and residents are expected to manage on their own. If you need overnight supervision or monitoring, this is not the appropriate housing option.

We serve seniors (62+), veterans, and adults who can live semi-independently, have a consistent income source (SSI, SSDI, VA benefits, pension, etc.), and can commit to following house rules. We do not accept individuals who require medical supervision, assisted living care, or have active substance abuse issues.

We consider applicants on a case-by-case basis. Some individuals from re-entry programs may be eligible if they can live peacefully, follow house rules, and do not pose a safety risk to other residents. Violent offenders or sex offenders are not accepted.

Rent includes: a fully furnished room (private or semi-private), all utilities (electric, water, gas), WiFi internet, access to shared living spaces, kitchen, and laundry facilities, and regular home maintenance. Residents are responsible for their own food, toiletries, and personal items.

Case managers, social workers, VA coordinators, and discharge planners can refer clients by contacting us directly. Please provide basic information about the client's situation, income, and any services they currently receive. We'll review eligibility and respond promptly.

No, we do not coordinate or manage outside services. Residents (or their case managers) are responsible for arranging medical care, transportation, and other services independently. We're happy to allow service providers to visit residents at our homes.
